ARLINGTON TX – Policing the police, sometimes referred to as ‘Cop Blocking,’ is a growing movement across the world where average citizens take to the streets armed with video cameras to simply record police activity.  With the violent track record of police, and a growing number of dead bodies piling up at the hands of law enforcement, cop blocking is becoming more critical to ensure police have some sort of accountability.  Having video evidence of their crimes also helps in the court of public opinion, but hardly ever in the traditional ‘justice’ system.

Kory Watkins of North Texas Cop Block and Open Carry Tarrant County has recently started to combine both forms of his activism into one big freedom loving sandwich.  Watkins and other activists will arrive at traffic stops armed with their cameras and rifles to record the actions of police.  For those of us who understand what freedom actually means, I say so what?

After Jacob Cordova was arrested for carrying his pre-1899 pistol while filming the police (charges later changed to ‘disrupting police business’), so called freedom activists, progressives and establishment neo-cons from across the state collectively shit their pants.  Several gun rights activists in Texas quickly distanced themselves from open carrying while cop watching.  I find it embarrassing that anyone would condemn any activist for standing up to one of the largest, most deadliest legal extortion gangs this world has ever seen.  The police no longer serve and protect as the decals on the side of their cars would have you believe, they legally have no duty to do so.  So when armed citizens show up to film the police, I see the balance of power shift back to the side of the citizen, where it belongs.

America Tonight recently filmed a special report on Watkins and his growing group of armed cop watchers and it was surprisingly an honest piece of journalism.  See for yourself in the following video.
